EMOTION! Lot's of it.... that's what I see in here. I'm not that type of guy who's into techniques... I do have a look and let my fools decide... and this one is perfect. Maybe your best shot ever... See me makin' a bow?! Chapeau maître!
The hint of brick and mortar is fantastic! Off camera lighting glowing in the mirror adds a lantern like captivation in this otherwise shadowy and dusty setting...the blur of the mirror adds intrigue and depth to the story as well as the 'library' in the perceived background. Feelings of hauntedness, self-captivation/reflection, mystery... all well expressed here. The setting makes the image, thus this partial nude becomes much more interesting than most. My only personal critique would be that the blues and indigos of the perhaps too clean sheets detract from the general atmosphere created by the lighting, brick wall, imposing curtains, and the dark wood frame of the mirror. I appreciate the subtle accent in the lace as a welcome addition of texture to the figure's form. Keep up the wonderful work!!
Critique? Your shots are always brilliant, your models the most beautiful, and your photoshop work is always just right, not too little not too much. I imagine that, like me, you only post work that you feel is the best of the shoot. One thing I like best about your work is your muted color palette. While I love colorful images, I also love the muted tones you get; they always seem to bring out the expressions of the models better than vibrant color would. This image is a good example.
