There is a powerful moment in photography when you become absorbed by the emotive and human nature of an image represented on a screen or print. This is one of those moments, when you feel as if you are seeing something that you are not supposed to be seeing ( a private moment in the bath) yet you are welcomed into the image by connecting immediately with the thought that the figure may be having. We all know the feeling of running a warm bath and testing the water, in this small move, the figure shuns any thought of posing, worrying about the lights or heeding the commands of the photographer. Perhaps this model is so pro that she only makes it seem so easy and natural. This becomes a natural moment, one without thought, common in its nature and amazing to celebrate with such a beautiful photograph. This image hit me. This is greatness. The haze adds even more to the image than i thought. Sure we see her profile, yet we cannot identify her,she is anonymous and in that purposeful move she becomes a feminine figure that the viewer can identify with. We know a woman like that, or we knew her once in our life, maybe even imagined her, but we can all relate to the woman that needed a moment in the bath to unwind or hide from the day. Thank goodness that she did, that she had the freedom to do so and thank goodness for photographers like you.
