The light orange tones in this photograph attracted me. Although there's a simplicity to the whole image, the skill of the maker in cropping and lighting the subject superbly goes unnoticed; the amused expression on the girl's face, a hard, impersonal touch-me-not smile draws the eye of the observer to her figure, tall and balanced, hovering and controlled.

The juxtaposed immense block she's grasping has a solidity that could overshadow her young body, but it doesn't, she commands the space with mild satisfaction. The background although a significant ethereal space is balanced with blurred indifference a consequence of circumstances as viewed by the photographer.

This veracious photograph of wonderful youthful feminine beauty engaged in inactivity has a hypnotic magnetism. An excellent photograph executed to perfection.
