This piece is so artistic and technically executed in composition and color, I could not pass it over without a remark. The quiet grayish tones of the background allow the flesh tones of the subject to emerge without question. Initially, I considered the image maybe cropped a little high, but this may also add perspective… or was it visually designed to have her right breast centered in the image? The hard straight architectural lines are distinctly contrasted by the soft curves of the model. Multiple geometric shapes - squares, rectangles, and 3 triangles created by the model’s pose. The lighting is interesting with more than 1 source, but stronger toward the model’s front. The strong light on the chin and nose could be a little distracting, yet there is sufficient illumination for the remainder of her face. Her gaze is toward the camera drawing the viewer into the scene. The model’s pose is exceptional contributing to a wonderfully aesthetic composition.
