I love this piece

It immediately gave me this great sense of contrast in the tones and in the shapes, with the angularity of the platform the model is on and the curves of the background, both of which seem to merge in the model with the shape of her body and posture. What really strikes me is the wild animalistic image within the model. Her primal appearance compliments the use of the full moon, one of the oldest of motifs in human culture. Of course this is one of the greatest uses for nudes, expressing core instinct and the connection with nature. The over all feeling I have reminds me of ancient Celtic culture and Druidism. I would have, however, liked to have seen what this image would have been like with more space surrounding it with a larger backdrop, I think it could possibly give the piece a greater sense of primality and worship towards the moon.
