This piece realy struck me as something different, and truth be told, I am still not absolutely sure as to why.
Taking the steps provided by DA, I rate the vision of this a 4,5/5, because it's not your typical Artistic Nude, or portrait. The captured scene is dynamic, it feels alive and the point of view presented is original and revealing to a certain extent, keeping the viewer's interest. As for originality, I give a full 5/5. The idea itself is quite original in my opinion, haven't seen a shot reminiscent of this one, or the same, ever, bravo for which. The shot itself seems unplanned and natural, making it even more precious. The model herself seems very beautiful in this scene, the "pose" she has unwillingly taken goes very well with the overall scenery. On the technique side, it's enough. That is all I feel I should say, beause when I look at this, I see a very good picture taken - I have no coments or remarks to make, and I feel most people would not also. For Impact, on the other hand, I have given 3,5/5. If I could be rating this from my perspective and only towards people that have similar tastes, I would gladly give this a 5/5 as I feel it deserves. The overall work here is outstanding - it is stylish, without unnecessary ceremony and most of all - beautiful. It caught my eye because it is a great shot and one of the best I've seen, but the thing is that a shot like this, sadly, cannot impact everyone that views it. Overall I have rated, in reality, in a complette view of my own and that of the supposed audience. If it were absolutely up to me, I would have given a perfect 5/5, because photography is about capturing a special momment, that not only the photographer and/or model/s/ can appreciate, but any viewer can, and I feel I can appreciate this, because though I can't say I understand it, I find it beautiful and it is simply a joy to view.
Thank you for sharing, photoport. I give you a full 5/5 (from myself!)
Made me think about Marry Poppins .. so let`s see ..
Like stako stated this is not your usual artistic nude, and it`s also not a portrait .. so only 4 stars from me for Vision.
Like I said at the beginning .. it feels to me like a modern black and white, semi nude, almost chic version of Mary`s youth. Before she changed to all black clothes, black umbrella and put on her perfectionist face. So I love how the white dress of the model, the white umbrella and her expression contrast that ( I know that there is no reference to Mary Poppins in the photo description but that is how I feel when I see this photograph ). So 5 stars from me for Originality.
Overall the photo is great but it feels to me like it`s missing something. The Technique and Impact get 4 points from me. I would have loved a more blurry background. The detail of the left side building steals a bit your attention from the model even if the picture itself is great.
the photo-scratches don't match the expected age of the clothes. also it seems a bit strange that she's wearing closed shoes without socks. though the model doesn't match my taste, maybe because she's older than 26? (face, hair, neck, knees, lower leg) she still has a great body. i dont understand the pose she makes, it looks like she just catched her flown away umbrella, but she holds it too tight and too centered in her hand to confirm that thought.
if i had to rate it, i'd give it 4.2 stars (pretty good)
