This is a brilliant portrait Pavel! Sensitive and sensual! The contrast between the subject's skin tones and the muted blues and blue-greens creates a subtle energy that supports the woman's wistful facial expression. The lock of hair that falls over her left eye adds to the informality and candid feel of the picture. Her bare shoulders augment the feeling of her vulnerability and coupled with the darkness of the foreboding sky above the tropical (?) sea suggests that there may be "trouble in paradise". The centering of the subject is consistent with the calm background. Perhaps the lull before the storm?

I think that an artist can create an intimate portrait such as this only when he connects with his subject on a deep level.
